On 16 October, USB Union workers at the Port of Genoa will go on a 24-hour strike, impacting operations at the SA Genoa Prà and PSA Genoa Sech Terminals.

In addition, two significant industrial actions are set to take place on Friday, 18 October, causing widespread disruption to Italy's transport system.

Automotive industry workers, logistics workers and unionised transport staff will strike for 24 hours, bringing much of the bus and local rail network to a standstill.

As a result, container transport from and to local ports could be affected.

Simultaneously, workers plan to stage a large protest march on Friday through the heart of Rome beginning at 09:30 local time.
