Adverse weather conditions in the Arabian Sea have led to operational disruptions at Mormugao Port on India's western coast, where activities have been suspended.
While other major ports such as Mundra, Kandla, Mumbai, and New Mangalore continue to operate normally, smaller vessels at Kochi and Vizhinjam have been advised to move to safer waters.
The nation's Meteorological Department is still expecting rough to very rough sea conditions, strong winds, and widespread rain.

Heavy rainfall and gusty winds swept across parts of India on 24 May, prompting warnings from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Coastal Maharashtra, Goa, and the Ghat regions in Madhya Maharashtra experienced significant downpours, including instances of extremely heavy rainfall.
The IMD has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in these areas to persist until 30 May.
In Gujarat State and Marathwada, scattered to fairly widespread rains were recorded, with thundersqualls reaching wind speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Ports along India’s west coast took immediate precautions due to a well-marked low-pressure system in the eastern central Arabian Sea.
On 23 May, a warning signal was hoisted, halting port operations in Mormugao and relocating vessels to outer port limits.
Meanwhile, Goa faced an orange alert for the following 48 hours, with wind speeds expected to reach 60 km/h.
Amid the disruptions, some ports, including those in Mangalore and Mumbai, maintained normal operations.
