Vessel MV TIRUA faces operational delays due to damage

Repairs at Kandla Port cause adjustments to cargo scheduling and service timelines

An operational disruption occurred on 4 June 2025 at Mundra Port, India, involving the 9480-TEU vessel MV TIRUA on the INDAMEX Service.

Hapag-Lloyd reports that the vessel sustained damage during berthing and is now scheduled for repairs at Kandla Port.

This will result in service delays of approximately 7–8 days.

The delay is expected to impact export cargo originally booked on the vessel, which will be postponed for up to one week.

Additionally, shipments bound for Salalah and Charleston will be reallocated to subsequent sailings.

Cargo transiting via Salalah and originating from or destined for Pakistan will similarly face delays of about seven days.

Hapag-Lloyd has outlined a revised deployment plan to minimise further disruptions to the broader service schedule and ensure continuity for affected customers.
