Update: 26.02.2026
New dates were announced for further maintenance work in Italy affecting rail networks. In addition to the dates announced earlier, the following interruptions are expected:
Weekends of weeks 9, 12 and 13
Contrary to previous communication, national rail operators report that a reduction of capacity may occur at the ports of Genova Voltri and Genova Marittima following a reassessment of infrastructure capacity.
Trains will therefore not be fully cancelled but may experience delays or partial cancellations.
From 2 March to 30 April, maintenance works will be carried out in the Florence–Pisa and Pisa–La Spezia areas. These will impact trains to/from Padua–La Spezia and Padua–Livorno, which will experience slowdowns and longer travel times, with potential cancellations.
From 11 to 19 March, maintenance works are planned on the Bologna railway belt. Interruptions will cause track adjustments, operational rescheduling, and potential delays or cancellations.
The most affected routes will be:
- PADUA – LIVORNO (both directions)
- BOLOGNA – LIVORNO (both directions)
- RIVALTA – RAVENNA (both directions)
- MARZAGLIA – RAVENNA (both directions)
- BOLOGNA – GIOIA TAURO (both directions)
