According to Crisis24, port workers associated with the National Federation of Ports and Docks, part of the General Confederation of Labour, will carry out 4-hour strikes throughout January.

The stoppages will take place between 10:00 and 16:00 local time on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, 7 January
  • Thursday, 9 January
  • Monday, 13 January
  • Wednesday, 15 January
  • Friday, 17 January
  • Tuesday, 21 January
  • Thursday, 23 January
  • Monday, 27 January
  • Wednesday, 29 January
  • Friday, 31 January

While it remains unclear if all ports will participate in the labour action, Kuehne+Nagel confirms that stoppages at Le Havre Port will occur on 7 and 9 January.

Meanwhile, the Port of Saint-Nazaire will strike for four hours every other day starting 7 January and until the end of the month.

Furthermore, the unions had announced their plan to strike for 48 hours on 3 and 4 February if the workers' demands were unmet. Kuehne+Nagel is monitoring the situation closely and will report any changes as they become available.
