Update: Yellow warnings raised as Storm Debi moves across London and southern England

Heavy rainfall and gale forces winds are expected for Tuesday

Update: 14.11.2023

Storm Debi brought gusts of 70mph to Northern Ireland and Britain yesterday, interrupting port operations in Liverpool and Felixstowe. According to news reports, an amber warning was raised for parts of England and Northern Ireland, over a concern about a potential risk to lives and property. Some areas have seen heavy flooding an road closures due to fallen debris.

The storm is moving across London and southern England, where yellow warnings have been raised. Heavy rainfall and flooding in the area are expected today, as well as gusty winds and thunderstorms. These could cause disruptions to the movement of containers via road. So far, no impacts on port operations have been reported.

In continental Europe, heavy rainfall from a separate system is expected in northern, eastern, and western France until 17 November. This could impact the movement of containers in the area should roads be blocked due to flooding.
