Ports in Finland will witness a two-week strike starting on 11 March at 06:00 local time and lasting until 25 March at 06:00.
The Central Organization of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) called its member unions to the industrial action after failed negotiations with the government over employee rights and social security.
One of the member unions to participate in the strikes is the Finnish Transport Workers' Union (AKT), which represents most workers in the stevedoring industry.
As a result, operational disruption is expected at all container ports, with interruptions in the loading and unloading of vessels.
Impact on air and road logistics is also expected during the strikes. More information about these sectors is available in our advisory.
