Demonstrators from Bolivia's farming and social sectors have been obstructing roads in various regions of the nation since early this week.
Several routes, including the Cochabamba-Santa Cruz Highway and the Cochabamba-Oruro Highway close to Parotani, have been closed by protesters.
The Bolivian Highway Administration reports 22 blockage spots where demonstrators blocked traffic on roadways using stones, logs, and burning tires.
According to local media, they demand the resignation of the judges who disqualified former president Evo Morales from running for office in 2025.
Until their demands are fulfilled, the activists intend to continue the protest indefinitely. While blockades appear to be concentrated in the Cochabamba area, similar demonstrations could take place throughout Bolivia.
Significant disruptions to ground transportation are likely to occur in affected areas.
