Protests in Italy in solidarity with Gaza started on Monday, leading to disruptions in several areas.

The protests were part of a nationwide strike called by trade unions, which took place in Venice, Rome, Milan and Genoa, among other cities.

Dockworkers protested in the ports of Genoa, Livorno, and Trieste and blocked access to the facilities to prevent the transfer of arms and supplies to Israel.

In Rome and Bologna, protesters blocked the railway and roads, causing service delays.

The strikes were organised by the CGIL among other unions for 19 and 22 September.
