ONE signs agreement to acquire 30% stake in Laem Chabang terminal

Carrier Ocean Network Express (ONE) announced on 30 March 2026 that it has signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 30% stake in Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Limited (HLT) in Laem Chabang, Thailand.

The announcement was made in Singapore and confirms ONE’s entry as a minority shareholder in the terminal operator.

HLT is located within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor and operates at Laem Chabang Port.

The terminal is described as a strategic gateway in Southeast Asia and is identified as the leading deep‑water terminal operator at the port.

Its assets include the automated Terminal D, as well as Terminals C1 and C2 and Terminal A3.

According to ONE, the investment is intended to secure long‑term access to terminal capacity and to reinforce the company’s presence in a market it defines as strategically important.

The Singapore‑headquartered liner stated that the acquisition forms part of its wider efforts to develop its port network.

The HLT agreement follows shortly after ONE concluded a separate deal to take a stake in a terminal in Busan, South Korea.
