Ocean Network Express (ONE) has signed an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Dalian Container Terminal (DCT), one of Northeast China’s most important container handling hubs. The move marks a strategic expansion of ONE’s port portfolio and reinforces the carrier’s long-term commitment to securing access in key regional gateways.
Located in Dalian - China's leading foreign trade container port in the northeast - DCT is among the region’s largest dedicated container terminals. It currently operates 14 berths, offers a total quay length of 4,390 meters, and handles up to 6.6 million TEU annually.
The facility’s deep drafts and modern handling equipment enable it to accommodate the latest generation of large container vessels.
This acquisition of a minority stake aligns with our strategy of ensuring access at key regional ports.
Global Chief Officer of ONE’s Product and Network
ONE notes that its new ownership stake will enable closer collaboration with DCT, supporting ongoing infrastructure upgrades and green terminal initiatives while reinforcing Dalian’s position as a key trade gateway in Northeast China.
The partnership is expected to enhance operational reliability for ONE’s services in and out of Northeast Asia, providing more stable port access and enabling closer participation in DCT’s modernization plans, including sustainability-driven terminal upgrades.
