A fire on board a container vessel occurred at Ningbo Port on 24 November, briefly disrupting operations.

The fire broke out in the engine room of the M/V GSL Chloe (IMO 9506382), operated by ONE, as it was entering Beilun Port in Ningbo, China.

The crew quickly extinguished the fire, and five tugs assisted in moving the vessel to an inner harbour anchorage. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Despite the swift response, the incident led to suspended operations at the port, which resumed after extinguishing the fire.
