Danish carrier Maersk announced resuming calls at Baltimore Port and bookings for some of its services

Officials from the Key Bridge Response Unified Command announced Monday that the containership MV Dali was successfully escorted back to the Port of Baltimore.

The command, assigned to restore the situation after the bridge collapse in March, said the ship was towed to the Seagirt Marine Terminal with the help of five tugboats and other support vessels.

"This marks the resumption of commercial vessel transits in and out of the Port of Baltimore," said the Unified Command in a statement. This includes deep-draft containerships and car carriers.

Meanwhile, the officers will continue to clear the remaining wreckage from the Fort McHenry Federal Channel until its original width is restored and all steel below the mud line is removed.

Danish Liner Maersk announced last week that it is slowly resuming bookings to Baltimore for some of its services, including the AGAS and AMEX services.

According to Kuehne+Nagel sources, MSC has taken similar steps to resume calls at the port.

The latest investigations of the incident revealed that the ship had suffered several power outages in the hours before the allision with the Francis Key Scott Bridge.
