Weeks after the collapse of Baltimore's Key Bridge, the salvage crew is left with small pieces of debris

The salvage crew assigned to clear the shipping channel into Baltimore Port successfully removed the final large steel truss in the water channel.

The mission, which took ten weeks after the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, is expected to be complete over the weekend, allowing full access to the port.

Smaller chunks of debris will now be removed before the channel is fully open for all types of commercial vessels.

In May, carriers Maersk and MSC announced reopening bookings for direct imports and exports to/from Baltimore on several of their services.
