According to an alert by the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), the vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

UKMTO’s initial notification provided limited detail. However, US news outlets, citing American officials, indicated that the vessel may have been hit by a cruise missile.

The same reporting said several crew members were injured.

Seaexplorer data show that the 2824-TEU ship is currently outside Dubai and is deployed on the Indian Subcontinent-Africa service MIDAS2.
