Maintenance works to interrupt operations at Brisbane Port, Australia

The interruptions are scheduled for 24 and 25 August

Operations at Australia’s Port of Brisbane will witness several interruptions on 24 and 25 August. According to a Kuehne+Nagel advisory, the interruptions are a result of maintenance and inspection works and could potentially disrupt container handling operations.


The scheduled interruptions are detailed below:


For Thursday, 24 August:

  • Poseidon Sea Pilots intend to stop work for 24 hours starting at 00:01 (AEST)
  • DP World will roll inspection modules from 09:00 to 13:30 (AEST)
  • DP World terminal will be offline from 12:00 to 16:00 (AEST), and in gates will be closed for the duration of the outage


For Friday, 25 August:

  • Patrick Terminal will be closed for maintenance from 07:00 to 15:00 (AEST)


Located on the country’s east coast, Brisbane Port is one of the key ports in Australia and receives nearly 2155 vessel calls annually. In 2021/2022, the port handled over 1.5 million containers and plans to carry out infrastructure work estimated at $600 million.
