CMA CGM to resume Suez Canal transits on INDAMEX service; Premier Alliance announces February 2025 changes to PN3 and EC2 services; Evergreen to slot charter on Maersk's Intra-Asia route

CMA CGM INDAMEX service to resume Suez transit


CMA CGM has confirmed that its INDAMEX service will route through the Suez Canal starting in November. Kuehne and Nagel understands that the French Navy and their European Allies will escort the vessels through the Red Sea. In addition, the service will be enhanced with port calls in Jeddah, Damietta, and Tangier. 


  • Carrier service name: INDAMEX
  • Port rotation: Port Qasim - Nhava Sheva - Mundra - Jeddah - Damietta - Tanger Med - New York - Norfolk - Savannah - Charleston - Damiette - Jeddah - Port Qasim
  • First sailing through the Suez: CMA CGM Pelleas, ETD Port Qasim, 14 November.

New & revised services

Asia↔Oceania

At the end of October, MSC will re-launch a service between Asia and Australia as follows:


  • Carrier service name: Koala
  • Port rotation: Shanghai- Hong Kong - Jakarta - Fremantle - Jakarta - Shanghai
  • First sailing: MSC Qingdao F, ETD Shanghai, 30 October


Asia↔Middle East

In early November, CMA CGM will revise the port rotation of its service between the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East by temporarily dropping the Dammam port call.


  • Carrier service name: BIGEX
  • Port rotation: Abu Dhabi – Umm Qasr – Jebel Ali – Abu Dhabi – Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Abu Dhabi
  • First sailing: AS Paola, ETD Abu Dhabi, 4 November


As of November, Evergreen will slot charter on the X-Press Feeders service between the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East. ONE is also a slot charter on this service.


  • Carrier service name: IRX2
  • Port rotation: Mundra - Jebel Ali - Jeddah - Aqaba - Sokhna - Jeddah - Mundra
  • First sailing with Evergreen: TBA

Asia↔North America

From February 2025, ONE and its Premier Alliance partners will add Jacksonville to their EC2 service between Asia and East Coast North America.


  • Carrier service name: EC2
  • Port rotation: Xiamen - Yantian - Ningbo - Shanghai - Pusan - (Panama) - Manzanillo - Savannah - Charleston - Jacksonville - Manzanillo - (Panama) - Pusan - Xiamen
  • First sailing: TBA

Furthermore, Premier Alliance will split its PN3 service into two services. PN3 and PN4, in February 2025. The port rotations will be as follows:


  • PN3: Qingdao – Pusan – Vancouver – Tacoma – Pusan – Qingdao


  • PN4: Ningbo – Shanghai – Vancouver – Tacoma – Ningbo


Intra Asia

Starting in November, Evergreen will slot charter on Maersk's service between Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia. Evergreen will service port calls in Shanghai, Ningbo and Manila.


  • Carrier service name: PH3
  • Port rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo – Manila – Davao – Pyeongtaek – Qingdao – Shanghai
  • First sailing with Evergreen: Spil Niken, ETD Shanghai 2 November
