Cargo transport workers at Chittagong Port, Bangladesh's largest container port, began a strike on Monday, 21 October.

The labour action is planned to conclude at 06:00 local time on 23 October and is expected to halt cargo movement between the port and its inland container depots.

Kuehne+Nagel reports that the Prime Mover Trailer Workers have announced the strike to call for regulatory changes, labour rights, and job security measures.

Delays may also prevent the scheduled loading of feeder vessels and mainline vessels at the port.
