As of Monday, March 17, the HHLA will implement delivery restrictions at CTB and CTT container terminals at Hamburg Port.
Export container deliveries will be managed on a ship-by-ship basis until further notice.
The restrictions are expected to complicate daily export operations, potentially leading to delays in container deliveries.
In addition, ship delays can result in last-minute changes to release schedules, affecting both early and delayed releases.
Delivery slots can only be booked once a ship is released for delivery. These slots are often limited to small time windows (1-2 days) and tend to be booked well in advance, making it challenging to plan export deliveries.
Consequently, it is advised to schedule loading dates as close to the ship's arrival as possible.
