Fire reported on board container ship Colorado in the Pacific

The vessel diverts to Busan Port for inspection after the fire is contained, causing expected schedule delays

The 5504-TEU container ship Colorado experienced a fire on board while sailing across the Pacific from Yantian, China, to Los Angeles, USA.

 

The latest news reports show that the fire was contained, and no casualties were reported.

 

However, the vessel had to divert back to Busan Port, South Korea, for inspection and assessment.

 

Delays to the vessel’s schedule are to be expected.

 

Colorado is a ZIM ship deployed on the carrier’s Transpacific service ZX2.
