Tropical Cyclone Fengshen, locally referred to as "Ramil" in the Philippines, is expected to cause significant disruption to transportation and logistics across the region.
After making landfall on southern Catanduanes Island on 18 October, the storm swept northwest across Luzon, bringing torrential rain, powerful winds, and widespread flooding.
As of Monday morning, the cyclone had moved offshore, approximately 390 kilometres west of northern Luzon, with wind speeds reaching 80 km/h.
Forecasts indicate further strengthening as it crosses the South China Sea, with landfall in Vietnam anticipated on 24 October.
The storm has already left a trail of destruction in the Philippines, displacing over 13,000 people and affecting more than 130,000 residents.
Landslides and water damage have compromised inland transport routes, while port operations are expected to face delays due to adverse weather conditions.
