Hapag-Lloyd to discontinue its CES service, Premier Alliance to once again amend the PS6 rotation, Yang Ming and Wan Hai to join CIM service

Africa↔Mediterreanean

In October, MSC introduced a new service connecting the Mediterranean to West Africa, branded as the “Canary Island–Guinea Bissau Feeder Service.” The service will be operated solely by MSC and will deploy two vessels, each with an average capacity of 1,700 TEU.

  • Carrier service name: CANARY-ISLAND-GUINEA-BISSAU-FEEDER-SERVICE
  • Port rotation: Las Palmas – Bissau – Las Palmas
  • First sailing: MSC Nikoleta II, 1st October

 

Asia↔Mediterranean

Ocean Alliance will revise the port rotation of its Asia↔Mediterranean service by introducing a new port call at Vung Tau.

  • Carrier service name: CMA CGM (MEX), Evergreen (MEX1), COSCO (AEM2) OOCL (WM2)
  • Port rotation: Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Nansha – Shekou – Singapore – Vung Tau – Valencia – Barcelona – Fos Sur Mer – Malta Freeport – Port Klang – Qingdao – Busan – Shanghai
  • First sailing: CMA CGM Jules Verne, ETD Shanghai 15 October.

 

ZIM has revised the port rotation of its ZMP service, which connects Asia to the Mediterranean, by introducing a new port call at Port Said.

  • Carrier service name: ZMP
  • Port rotation: Haifa – Port Said – Da Chan Bay – Busan – Qingdao– Shanghai – Ningbo – Da Chan Bay – Cai Mep – Valencia – Barcelona – Genoa – Ashdod – Haifa
  • First sailing: San Diego, ETD Haifa, 1 October

 

Asia↔North America West Coast

 

Premier Alliance has revised the port rotation of its PS6 service, which links Asia with the West Coast of North America, by replacing the Los Angeles call with Long Beach. The service is operated by HMM, with Yang Ming, ONE, and SM Line participating as slot charterers. All carriers will continue to market the service under the “PS6” designation.

  • Carrier service name: PS6
  • Port rotation: Qingdao – Ningbo – Shanghai – Kwangyang – Busan – Long Beach – Oakland – Busan – Kwangyang - Incheon – Qingdao
  • First sailing: HMM Topaz, ETD Singapore on 4 October.

Asia↔South America

As of 27 October 2025, CMA CGM and Maersk will amend the port rotation of the SEAS3/ASAS2 service to include a new port call at Itajaí.

  • Carrier service name: SEAS3 (CMA CGM), ASAS2(Maersk)
  • Port rotation: Santos – Itajai – Singapore – Shanghai – Shekou – Vung Tau – Singapore – Santos
  • First sailing: CMA CGM Nansha, ETD Santos on 27 October

 

Intra Asia

Effective November 2025, Evergreen will launch a new service connecting Northeast Asia to Southeast Asia, branded as “CIM”. The service will now also be operated by Wan Hai and Yang Ming, who will brand it as “CS3” and “CIM”, respectively.

  • Carrier service name: Evergreen(CIM), Wan Hai(CS3), Yang Ming(CIM)
  • Port rotation: Dalian – Tianjin Xingang – Qingdao – Ningbo – Surabaya – Jakarta – Singapore – Port Klang – Kaohsiung – Dalian
  • First sailing: Ever Order, ETD Dalian 1 November

 

From late October 2025, COSCO will introduce a new regional service linking Japan to Thailand and Vietnam, branded as the “JTV” service. Operated solely by COSCO, the service will deploy four vessels, each with an average capacity of 1,700 TEU.

  • Carrier service name: JTV
  • Port rotation: Kobe – Nagoya – Tokyo – Yokohama – Nansha – Laem Chabang – Ho Chi Minh – Yangpu – Shekou – Kobe
  • First sailing: Insight, ETD Kobe, 28 October

As of 30 October 2025, MSC will introduce a new regional service linking Northeast Asia to Southeast Asia, branded as the “Sambar” service. The service will be operated solely by MSC. While the number of vessels deployed has yet to be confirmed, the average vessel capacity is expected to be 2,700 TEU.

  • Carrier service name: Sambar
  • Port rotation: Dalian – Incheon – Tianjin Xingang – Qingdao – Da Chan Bay – Dong Nai – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Penang – Pasir Gudang – Singapore – Tanjung Pelepas – Busan – Dalian
  • First sailing: MSC Vigour, ETD Dalian, 30 October

 

North Europe↔North America East Coast

In December 2025, Hapag-Lloyd will discontinue its CES service, which currently connects Northern Europe with the East Coast of North America and Central America/Caribbean. The service is operated by Hapag-Lloyd (CES), with Maersk (TA5) participating as slot charterers. It currently deploys seven vessels, each with an average capacity of 2,700 TEU.

  • Carrier service name: Hapag-Lloyd (CES), Maersk (TA5)
  • Port rotation: Antwerp – Felixstowe – Hamburg – Antwerp – Saint John – Philadelphia – Port Everglades – Santa Marta – Puerto Moin – Cartagena (Colombia) – Antwerp
  • Last sailing: Caucedo Express, ETD Antwerp on 3 December

 

North Europe↔South America East Coast

Effective November 2025, ONE and Samudera will terminate the TIG/SIG service, which currently connects Asia to the Indian Subcontinent. The service is currently operated by ONE (TIG) and Samudera (SIG), with five vessels deployed, each with an average capacity of 4,300 TEU.

  • Carrier service name: ONE (TIG) Samudera (SIG)
  • Port rotation: Laem Chabang – Singapore – Nhava Sheva – Ad Dammam – Jebel Ali – Port Qasim – Colombo – Singapore – Laem Chabang
  • Last sailing: Emmanuel P, ETD Laem Chabang 9 November
