Australia's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) issued new regulations to supplement the seasonal measures for the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) 2025/2026 season.

These measures apply to specific goods manufactured in or shipped from risk countries between 1 September 2025 and 30 April 2026. The measures also apply to vessels that berth, load, or tranship from these countries.

The DAFF added Japan and the Republic of Korea to the emerging risk countries this season.

In addition, target high-risk goods arriving as air freight from the United States of America and China will be subject to random inspections.

For more information about target-risk countries, target-risk goods and treatment methods, please consult the DAFF announcement, or reach out to your local Kuehne+Nagel representative.
