Red Sea diverted vessels - 28 December 2023

In light of the developments in the Red Sea, Kuehne+Nagel provides you with a list of diverted vessels based on the latest vessel tracking data

In view of recent incidents affecting container vessels in the Red Sea, we acknowledge that communication is key.

To keep you informed, Kuehne+Nagel will regularly publish a list of the vessels diverted to sail via the Cape of Good Hope.

So far, we have identified 319 vessels impacted by the Red Sea situation. The total capacity is estimated at 4.4 million TEU.

This excludes Maersk vessels, which will resume Red Sea transits via the Suez Canal. Although the carrier is routing some ships through the area again, it notes that risk is still present, and it will not hesitate to re-evaluate the situation and divert vessels again.

Its 2M Alliance partner MSC, has not yet reported any plans to resume Suez Canal transits.

Please find the updated list of diverted vessels here with links to the services accessible to seaexplorer subscribers.
