Durban: Vessel waiting time has improved further in Durban this week to around 2.5 days. Current delays at the port are caused mainly by adverse weather conditions, dredging, and equipment breakdowns. The berthing delays for some vessels exceed ten days due to equipment and crane challenges.
UAE
Jebel Ali: Vessel waiting time has slightly improved this week to a 7-day average of 2.56 days, but the port has continued to face vessel bunching and equipment challenges.

Hamburg: The slot situation at the Eurogate terminal remained pressured last week. Container delivery and pick-up were heavily impacted as slot availability remains tight.
A similar issue emerged at the Burchardkai terminal, where slots were completely booked. Long waiting times were reported for trucking operations.
In addition, delays in rail operations at both terminals continued this week. Both issues, in addition to a holiday on Monday, created a level of backlog.
The port authority further announced that an internal event would occur on 23 May, which might cause business interruptions from 10:00 to 23:59 local time.
Kuehne+Nagel will continue to monitor the situation at the port. In the meantime, delays are to be expected.
