Container feeder operator Unifeeder will adopt the new commercial name DP World Shipping Solutions in December, aligning with its parent group’s branding.
According to Unifeeder’s chief executive, Martin Gaard Christiansen, this change is limited to the company’s name, with all other aspects of operations remaining unchanged.
Christiansen told Danish media ShippingWatch that the move was “purely a branding exercise,” confirming that no operational adjustments are planned.
Dubai-based DP World, which acquired Unifeeder in 2018, is implementing a broader rebranding initiative across its Marine Services division.
The group announced that, alongside Unifeeder, other companies such as the ferry company P&O Ferrymasters will also be renamed.
”The brand unification is the latest milestone in DP World’s transformation journey from a world-class port operator into a fully integrated global logistics provider,” states a DP World press release.
Unifeeder CEO believes that the DP World name will better promote Unifeeder because of the group's wide business scope.
”Unifeeder is known in a narrower circle. DP World is a big brand that is known in a wider circle. We see that as an advantage,“ he explains.
