Unions in Belgium have called for a National Day of Action on Tuesday, 20 May.

According to local news, members of the Maritime and Coastal Services Agency (MDK) and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges will take part in the strike.

The labour action is expected to impact port operations on that day.

In an advisory circulated by Yang Ming, the carrier announced that port operator PSA Antwerp will suspend truck export deliveries ahead of the strike.

This suspension will commence on Monday, 19 May, at 22:00 and last until Wednesday, 21 May, at 06:00.

Yang Ming says that during this period, only import pick-ups will be processed, and export deliveries will not be accepted.

Additionally, empty containers will continue to be processed, and checks at the gate will be conducted to ensure compliance with these measures.
