Port operations and access to the Port of Songkhla is likely to be impacted in the aftermath of the storm

Southern Thailand floods leave millions affected and impacts transport

Southern Thailand has endured severe flooding after prolonged heavy rainfall, causing significant humanitarian impact.

Initial reports from the ASEAN Disaster Information Net (ADINET) confirmed over 170 deaths and nearly 3 million people affected.

The situation remains critical as communities struggle with widespread disruption and property loss.

Weather forecasts indicate a short period of drier conditions between 1 and 3 December, although isolated rainfall is still expected in southern areas.

As a result, port operations and access to the container terminals of Songkhla Port may be affected or face delays in the next few days.

Several countries in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, have been severely hit by floods and rainfall, disrupting transport and rescue operations.
