Australia's Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) and the Peak Shippers Association (APSA) have announced a significant industrial development for Patrick Terminals workers.

With terminals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Fremantle, the leading port operator has successfully negotiated a significant agreement rollover with the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) and its workforce.

According to local news, this agreement, which was finalised well ahead of the previous agreement's expiry date of 31 December 2025, will extend to 31 December 2028.

This extension provides an additional three years of industrial certainty across all four Patrick container terminals.

Experts described the agreement as a major step towards national stability across Australia's key container gateways.
